Comunidades MS4

Think Blue Massachusetts ayuda a los gobiernos locales de todo el estado a cumplir con los requisitos de educación y divulgación de los Permisos Generales 2018-2022 para Descargas de Aguas Pluviales de Pequeños Sistemas de Alcantarillado Pluvial Separado Municipales.

Si representa a una comunidad con un permiso MS4, este le exige "...implementar un programa educativo que incluya objetivos educativos basados en problemas de aguas pluviales importantes dentro del área MS4. El objetivo final de un programa educativo público del Permiso General MS4 de MA es aumentar el conocimiento y modificar el comportamiento del público para reducir los contaminantes en las aguas pluviales".

El permiso continúa definiendo las siguientes cuatro audiencias para este programa educativo obligatorio:

  1. residentes

  2. Empresas, instituciones (iglesias , hospitales ) e instalaciones comerciales

  3. Desarrolladores (construcción), y

  4. Instalaciones industriales.

La EPA de EE. UU. exige distribuir dos mensajes educativos durante la vigencia del permiso a cada uno de estos públicos, con un intervalo de al menos un año. La EPA le permite explícitamente "...utilizar materiales existentes si son apropiados para el mensaje que el titular del permiso decide transmitir". El permiso establece que "...podrá colaborar con otras MS4, grupos comunitarios o asociaciones de cuencas hidrográficas para implementar el programa educativo y cumplir con este requisito del permiso".

Por último, su permiso requiere que usted "muestre evidencia de mensajes enfocados en audiencias específicas, así como evidencia de que se ha logrado progreso hacia los objetivos educativos definidos del programa".

Think Blue Massachusetts ofrece materiales preparados previamente que puede utilizar para cumplir con estos requisitos de permiso, junto con orientación sobre cómo proporcionar evidencia de que está progresando hacia los objetivos del programa.
