Team Leader: Anne Capra
Team Since: Fall 2006

The Connecticut River Cleanup Committee (CRCC) formed in 1993 to address combined sewer overflows to the Connecticut River, and now also works to address stormwater pollution in the watershed. The committee has representatives from eleven Massachusetts communities (Agawam, Chicopee, Easthampton, Granby, Holyoke, Longmeadow, Ludlow, South Hadley, Springfield, Westfield, and West Springfield) and is staffed by the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission. Team CRCC has been instrumental in helping the Think Blue Coalition adapt the campaign to inland communities as well as to Spanish-speaking audiences. To date, the local campaign has consisted of public service announcements on local radio and television stations, extensive press releases and print ads in the local newspapers, and a long list of public presentations. Team CRCC was also the first Team to create its own affiliate Think Blue website, www.ThinkBlueMA.org/ConnecticutRiver.
