Stormy Tip

Think Again

Team Leader: Barbara Warren
Team Since: Summer 2006

Salem Sound Coastwatch (SSCW) is a non-profit coastal watershed association that works with government agencies, businesses, other non-profit organizations and citizens from the communities of Manchester, Beverly, Danvers, Peabody, Salem, and Marblehead, Massachusetts. SSCW is the Salem Sound regional partner of the Massachusetts Bays National Estuary Program. SSCW has been a founding member of the Think Blue Coalition, and an active participant in the development of the campaign. As part of their accomplished Clean Beaches and Streams Program, Team SSCW has hosted a Think Blue exhibit at their annual Swim & Fin OceanFest (www.SwimandFin.org) in 2006 and 2007 at the Forest River Park in Salem. While Stormy (the 15’ inflatable duck mascot) helped guide competing swimmers to the finish line, Think Blue volunteers shared the stormwater message with festival attendees and entertained kids with fun educational activities.
