You can have a healthy green lawn by leaving grass clippings where they fall, it's a free and natural fertilizer for your lawn!  Grass clippings on the lawn will decompose and act as a natural organic fertilizer, or you can add it to your compost for later use.

Here are a few ways that you can be involved in reducing stormwater pollution in your community and cleaning up our waterways.

Report Oil Dumping and Other Illegal Spills Call the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection’s emergency spill toll-free hotline at 1-888-304-1133. To report an environmental crime (intentional illegal dumping) call the state's Environmental Strike Force at 1-888-VIOLATE.

Beach and Stream Cleanups Participate in the annual COASTSWEEP, the state-wide beach cleanup sponsored by CZM and the Urban Harbors Institute of UMass Boston.
